Congrats to all of you. God bless.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Antalya, Turkey, October 25, 2015 – Italy’s Alex Ranghieri and Adrian Carambula claimed their first gold medal on the World Tour at the inaugural FIVB Antalya Open on Sunday. In the final they defeated Mexico’s Juan Virgen and Lombardo Ontiveros 2-0 (21-19, 21-16).

The second seeded Italians were a lot more in control than in the semifinal against Latvia’s Martins Plavins and Haralds Regza (24-22, 21-19). They played a very clean game with a lot of service pressure and hardly any unforced errors.

“It was a final”, Carambula said. “We knew it was game time. We prepared well, we played with high energy and I think we played a really good game. I think we deserved it. I think we have been working hard this year. We are making the right moves, training hard. We are really happy with this win.”

The Italians played in their ninth event together in their first season as a team. So far their best finish was third place in Porec, but Ranghieri won gold before with Marco Caminati at the beginning of this year in Lucerne.

“I have no words for it”, the 28-year old blocker said. “And these 500 points are so important for the Olympics.” On the provisional Olympic ranking the Italians place 17th at the moment.

To add some more points they will play in the final World Tour event of the year in Doha. “That will be our last one and then we are going to take a little break”, said Carambula, who will need some rehab on a little tear in his shoulder. “We feel good, we are still hungry, I really don’t want to stop, but we will take a little break after that.”

Mexico’s Virgen and Ontiveros, who defeated Chilean cousins Esteban and Marco Grimalt (21-16, 21-18) in the semifinal, won their second World Tour medal in three seasons together, after claiming the bronze in Puerto Vallarta last year.

They were outplayed by a hard hitting Ranghieri and the placed cut shots of Carambula and were trailing throughout the whole game “But it was a good match for us. We learned a lot today”, Ontiveros said. “But so many things made the difference in this game.”

But it was not Carambula’s sky ball serve, Ontiveros said. “They just play a tough game and they were almost flawless. That made the difference. It wasn’t the service, we could control the service except for one ace. We thought that we would have some extra trouble with the sky ball service, but except for one perfect sky ball that hit the net we did fine.”

Latvia claim the bronze

New team Plavins and Regza grabbed their first medal in only five events with a 2-0 (21-15, 21-17) win in the bronze medal match against Esteban and Marco Grimalt.

For Regza (23) the bronze is his first medal, but 30-year old Plavins won four gold, two silver and two bronzes on the World Tour before with different partners.

Plavins and Regza teamed up for the World Tour after winning the European Games in June and this was their second final four in only five events. In September they finished fourth in Xiamen.

“We are very happy, because it’s our first medal on the World Tour together”, Plavins said. “And we still remember how we felt after the fourth place in China. Now everything is perfect for us.”

Recharging for the bronze medal match was not easy he said. “But our coach told us that winning this bronze would be very important because of the Olympic ranking, every fifty points will be important next year. So we tried our best and are very happy we finished like this.”

Next year Plavins plans to participate in his third Olympics, after finishing 9th in 2008 in Beijing with Aleksandrs Samoilovs and third at the 2012 London Olympic Games with Janis Smedins.

Roselyne Bachelot, Adriana Karembeu, Michel Cymès and Laurence Ferrari

That magic time of year when dreams come true

Mr. Ringo Starr--The Christmas Dance

Tonight's the Christmas dance in London town
The lights are up, the snow is falling down
Like every year I catch your eye across the floor
But too afraid to do much more

At the Christmas dance
That magic time of year when dreams come true
Yeah, the Christmas dance
The only dance I wanna dance is you
The music's playing, hearts are swaying to the rhythm of romance
At the Christmas dance

I combed my hair and straightened out my tie
This year I'm gonna ask you do or die
And I'll need every ounce of courage I can find
Feet don't fail me, love be kind

At the Christmas dance
That magic time of year when dreams come true
The Christmas dance
The only dance I wanna dance is you
The music's playing, hearts are swaying to the rhythm of romance
At the Christmas dance

No more searching love at last
(No more searching love at last)
No more ghosts of Christmas past
(No more ghosts of Christmas past)
Under the mistletoe we kissed and danced so slow
Ho!

And when our children ask the meaning of romance
(Christmas is not the romance)

It's the Christmas dance
That magic time of year when dreams come true
At the Christmas dance
The only dance I wanna dance is you
The music's playing, hearts are swaying to the rhythm of romance
At the Christmas dance

Oh, the Christmas dance
Yeah, the Christmas dance
Oh, the Christmas dance
Yeah, the Christmas dance, yeah

Merry Christmas!
Yeah, the Christmas dance, yeah
Merry Christmas! Yeah
Merry Christmas! Yes! Yeah! Yeah!

At the Christmas dance!

LPR PIACENZA-REVIVRE MILANO 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-16)

Please, don't wake me, no, don't shake me

FRANCOFORTE (g.t.)

O Bambino mio divino,
io ti vedo qui a tremar,
o Dio beato !
Ah, quanto ti costò l'avermi amato ! (2 v.)

mancano panni e fuoco, o mio Signore. (2 v.)
Caro eletto pargoletto,
quanto questa povertà
più m'innamora,
giacché ti fece amor povero ancora. (2 v.)

Dolce amore del mio core,
dove amore ti trasportò ?
O Gesù mio,
per ché tanto patir ? per amor mio ! (2 v.)

Have you got a feeling bothering you like a bumble bee
Give yourself room for breathing love you 'til you're fit to be
Tied...do you need a place to hide
a place to hide
Can you be believing what they told you yesterday
Looks can be deceiving, you look like you're running away
Why...if you don't stop you'll die
Everyone looking at my girl
Everyone thinking about my girl
So tough
Everyone bird-dogging my girl
You can take her if you got enough
You better fly
The love gangster
The love gangster gonna make y'cry
Policeman on the corner another one down the street
Kinda makes you wonder what you gonna do with your feet
And it ain't no lie...everybody gonna need a place to hide

TOP FOUR

Antalya, Turkey, October 23, 2015 – The top four teams in the men’s competition of the FIVB World Tour Antalya Open are still on medal course after pool play ended on Friday.

Top seeds Aleksandrs Samoilovs and Janis Smedins booked their third victory in a direct match for the pool win against Polish youngsters Maciej Kosiak and Maciej Rudol: 21-14, 21-15.

Second seeded Alex Ranghieri and Adrian Carambula also won their pool, despite their forfeit in the final pool play match against Norway’s Oivind Hordvik and Bjarte Usken. Because of medical reasons the Italians thought it would be wise not to play.

“We had already won the pool, so the coach thought it would be best not to play, because of my shoulder injury”, Carambula explained. “It happened in Klagenfurt. I kind of landed weird on my shoulder diving for a ball. I have a little tear and lost some strength in the muscle because I can’t really work out. So it’s really bothering me. I will just try to get through the season and then do a lot of rehab after Doha.”

In this pre-Olympic season skipping an event is not an option, Carambula added. He and Ranghieri only started playing together this season, with one podium place in Porec (bronze). “We only have nine events so far, but we are really close to being in the top seventeen for the Olympics, so these last two events are really important for us to keep adding points.”

With two wins on Thursday over Kazakh qualifiers Alexandr Babichev and Alexey Kuleshov and Canada’s Sam Pedlow and Grant O’Gorman, the Italians are confident to get a good result in Antalya.

Carambula: “At this point of the process it’s naturally to look at what other teams are doing, but the key for us is to keep playing our game, having fun. We know if we keep doing this results will come. The chances are good, so we just have to keep playing our game.”

“In this tournament you don’t play maybe the best of the world, but everyone is coming here so hungry and they all want to beat you. It doesn’t matter how you get it done. But as long as you get those first couple of wins in the pool and then go straight to the second, that’s always a plus.”

Böckermann and Flüggen show excellent form

Third seeded Markus Böckermann and Lars Flüggen showed form with their third straight win. The Germans defeated Dries Koekelkoren and Tom van Walle of Belgium 2-0 (27-25, 21-15) in the final pool play match.

So far newcomers Koekelkoren and Van Walle had been without set loss too and it was a tough match, Flüggen said. “It’s good to win the pool, so we have a bit more rest tomorrow. But it was hard, especially today against the Belgians, because we didn’t know them. We didn’t have any video’s on them.”

Böckermann and Flüggen teamed up only this year. They had a flying start with a gold medal in Fuzhou and are peaking again towards the end of the season with silver in Rio and Xiamen.

“The form is pretty good, we were in the semifinals in the previous four FIVB events”, Flüggen said. “We dared not dream about this, especially after this long season. We had four times 25th in Grand Slams, sometimes 17th. This is really good for us.”

Mexico’s Lombardo Ontiveiros and Juan Virgin had a tough day, but won their pool anyway with a 2-1 (21-18, 7-21, 15-11) win over 13th seeded Spaniards Francisco Marco and Christian Garcia.

The fourth seeded Mexicans were especially disappointed about their ‘no-show’ in the second set. “I don’t know what happened”, Ontiveiros said. “But this is not good. We have to fix that. But Spain is a good team. We knew it would be a tough game.”

The two straight wins over Austria and USA on Thursday gave them confidence. “But”, Ontiveiros said. “Yesterday was a different day. The tournament goes in different ways so many times. We try to adapt to that and try to keep going.”

The 31-year old defence player missed the two previous tournaments in Xiamen and Puerto Vallarta. “I broke my hand before the Xiamen Open. It happened in the gym. I jumped and hit a bench and my finger went backwards, broke a metacarpus.”

So they skipped Xiamen and in Puerto Vallarta Virgin played with Ontiveiros’ younger brother Ulises, where they placed 17th. For the Antalya Open Ontiveiros got an ‘ok’ from the doctor. “He said I could play if I was careful. So we came here because we don’t want to lose too many points for the Olympics.”

The men’s competition continues on Saturday with the elimination rounds. The semifinals and medal matches are played on Sunday.

Igor Gorgonzola Novara-Club Italia

Back to the Future II
Back to the Future II Universal Studios Home Entertainment

Happy Back to the Future Day!

If you're a fan of Back to the Future, then you're probably already prepared for today's festivities. So move on down to the GIFs.
For those who have just recently jumped on the franchise bandwagon, today is the future date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown visited (visit? All these references to past and future have us mixing up the tense here) in Back to the Future Part II. This is of paramount importance, guys. Today is the day we can finally point at that glorious 25-year-old film and laugh at the strides it thought we'd make as a species… Or can we?

Flatscreen TV is now a thing pretty much everywhere. So is Google Glass, and we also have this ridiculous thing called Bluetooth. Some companies are working on hoverboard prototypes, because that's what we expect in the future, damn it! And the future is now. We've collected some of the more entertaining predictions made in Back to the Future Part II that we sincerely and fervently hope will come to pass before the sun goes down today. Yes, obviously we included hoverboards.

1. Flying cars
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

Because in LA traffic, nothing beats watching everyone's faces as you turn on the jet engines and literally rise above all that _____.

2. Cubs sweeping the World Series
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

Wouldn't it just be awesome if they actually managed to predict a sports win from that far back?! We'll certainly be watching baseball very closely in the upcoming weeks.

3. 19 Jaws Movies
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

We're on our way with four of 'em, but Spielberg really needs to pick up the pace if he wants to make 15 more films starring a possessed animatronic shark. He'll probably need help thinking up new plots, too, so get thinking.

4. Robotic gas station
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

Now we won't have to worry about some idiot setting the entire pump on fire because of a spider. He'll be tucked away safe in his car while the spider glares angrily from his perch on the robotic gas pump. Honestly, the closest we get is states like Oregon where it's actually another person's job to pump your gas.

5. Restaurants with stationary bikes
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

We'd want something kinda like beer bikes, but much less mobile and much less targeted at people who like having drunk fun.

6. Stereo vests
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

You've always wanted your own theme music, but the problem with MP3 players is that nobody else can really hear it that well. Weep no more, friends. Now no one will be able to ignore you as you strut into the room to the tune of Beyonce.

7. Hoverboards
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

We've been harping on this one for years. And why not? It's 2015, isn't it? Where's our ____ hoverboards? And those handle-less Segways don't count.

8. Voice-activated lights
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

Like the clapper, except if you accidentally mumble in your sleep then you're kinda ____.

9. Automatic dog walker
Back to the Future Part II GIFs Universal Pictures

Oh come on, even The Jetsons had a version of this! Might just be easier to teach the dog to walk himself, though.
The future is here, you guys! It's finally here! Enjoy your Back to the Future day and don't forget to bet on the Cubs! (Maybe).
Tune-in to the Esquire Network to celebrate Marty McFly's trip to the future with a binge worthy marathon of the Back to the Future trilogy tomorrow, October 21 starting at 12 p.m. ET!
Back to the Future Part II was one of the best sequels ever.

Congrats to all of you.

Storyline

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach's comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange... he is a prisoner of his own imagination - the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it's suddenly up to Stine, Zach, Hannah, and Zach's friend Champ (Ryan Lee) to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

Review by PandoraProductions4 / posted 18 October 2015

R.L Stine's books have been extremely popular in the last twenty years, selling hundreds of millions of copies. It's definitely gained a place in the pop culture psyche. The books served as a sort of kids equivalent to Stephen King, serving up scares that were scary enough, yet not deeply disturbing. Surprisingly, this is the first time a theatrical film has been made from the books, though there have been numerous TV shows based on them over time. This Goosebumps movie is not an adaption of any particular R.L Stine story, though most of the monsters in it will be recognized by fans of the books.

The plot follows a similar structure to any typical goosebumps. Zach (Dylan Minnette), a typical teenage boy, moves into a new neighbourhood where nothing seems to happen. He soon meets a couple new friends, geeky Champ (Ryan Lee), and the mysterious Hannah (Odeya Rush). Hannah's father is the enigmatic R.L Stine himself (a comically over the top performance by Jack Black). Mr. Stine is a misanthrope, who hides away in his house with original manuscripts of his books. When Zach accidentally opens one, the fearsome creatures from Goosebumps literally jump off the page and terrorize the town.

It's standard fare, not particularly original, but it works well enough. The monsters swarming reminded me of the finale of Cabin In The Woods, though Cabin pulled it off much more effectively.

Though most kids will enjoy the adventure elements, and laugh at all the right places, anyone older will be disappointed.

Goosebumps is not a horror-comedy. There's elements of horror, and an overabundance of comedy, but they never seamlessly meld.

I wanted more black comedy and less predictable quips.

The humour is very very predictable. The music will stop and then: (insert joke), then the payoff. This is all very well if it happens once or twice, but this type of lowbrow comedy gets old very fast.

That's not say the Goosebumps movie is entirely without merit. There's many clever aspects, I chuckled quite a few times. Some of the visuals look cool (some don't).

The musical score by Danny Elfman (who else) is pretty generic, but helps keep things moving.

What else? The villain is a bit wooden. (ha ha) And there's a clever cameo by R.L Stine.

Kids will love this movie.

The Who - I Can't Explain (Definitely Not suitable for kids)

Got a feeling inside
(Can't explain)
It's a certain kind
(Can't explain)

I feel hot and cold
(Can't explain)
Yeah down in my soul, yeah
(Can't explain)

I said
(Can't explain)
I'm feeling good now, yeah but
(Can't explain)

Dizzy in the head, and I'm feeling blue
The things you've said, well, maybe they're true
I'm getting funny dreams again and again
I know what it means, but

Can't explain
I think it's love
Try to say it to you
When I feel blue

But I can't explain
(Can't explain)
Yeah, hear what I'm saying, girl
(Can't explain)

Dizzy in the head, and I'm feeling bad
The things you've said have got me real mad
I'm getting funny dreams again and again
I know what it means, but

Can't explain
I think it's love
Try to say it to you
When I feel blue

But I can't explain
(Can't explain)
Forgive me one more time, now
(Can't explain)

I said I can't explain, yeah
You drive me out of my mind
Yeah, I'm the worrying kind, babe
I said I can't explain

*Mr. Bing Crosby - Do You Hear What I Hear

*lyrics by Mr. Noël Regney and music by Ms. Gloria Shayne Baker

Do you hear what I hear?
Do you hear what I hear?

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see?
Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know?
Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know?
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold

Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace, people, everywhere
Listen to what I say
Listen to what I say
The Child, the Child sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light

Europei M.:Russia - Italia 0-3 (20-25 19-25 19-25) di Luca Muzzioli posted Oct. 14, 2015

BUSTO ARSIZIO - Semifinali azzurre.

Battuta, ricezione, difese, tante, contrattacco, muro e, soprattutto, tanta intelligenza tattica. Urla e sorrisi. Nettamente. A 360°.

Alekno sposta Mikhailov in posto 4, posto 2 c'è Kruglov. Alekno chiama time out, ma la Russia è fuori. Troppa Italia oggi.

Daniela Cicarelli and Google ( Agencia EFE ) (Not suitable for kids)

Slovenia in semifinale

SOFIA - Storico e sorprendente.
