Italiens Regierungschef stellt Mittwoch Vertrauensfrage

Conjugal Coat of Arms by Rebecca Macatee

Conjugal Coat of Arms for Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

There's a great alternative to the oh-so-cliché "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters everyone has these days: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new family crest!

On Friday, Sept. 27, Prince William and Kate Middleton's Conjugal Coat of Arms was unveiled to the public. The Cambridges' official emblem features William's Royal Shield, given to him by Queen Elizabeth II on his 18th birthday, and the Middleton family shield, which was granted to Kate's family before the royal wedding in 2011.

Will and Kate's individual family shields are supported by a royal lion and a unicorn. Per the palace's press release, the unicorn is wearing a collar featuring a red shell derived from the Spencer Coat of Arms. This is an homage to the late Princess Diana's family and has been used on her side of the family for centuries.

A Kensington Palace spokesman explained that the Conjugal Arms will belong to Will and Kate "forever," but as "their circumstances and roles" change, "elements of the accoutrements and the shields may change."

In addition to this Conjugal Coat of Arms, William and Kate will retain their own Coats of Arms "to represent themselves as individuals," the palace stated. Kate's individual seal features William's arms alongside her father Michael Middleton's arms.

Pink Floyd - Comfortably numb

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home?

Come on, now
I hear you're feeling down
Well I can ease the pain
Get you on your feet again

Relax
I'll need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying

When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain you would not understand
This is not how I am

I have become comfortably numb

I have become comfortably numb

Okay
Just a little pinprick
There'll be no more
But you may feel a little sick

Now can you stand up?
I do believe it's working good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying

When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown the dream is gone

I have become comfortably numb

Bryce Dallas Howard by Justin Kroll

After taking its time putting a finishing polish on the script, Universal has moved fast to start casting with Bryce Dallas Howard in talks to star in “Jurassic World.”

The studio had been looking at Dallas Howard for some time, which Variety first reported in May. With the studio now setting a June 12, 2015 release date for the Jurassic Park sequel, Universal has returned to Howard with offers.

The studio has one more big role to cast before moving forward in the pre-production.

Colin Trevorrow will direct with a screenplay he co-wrote with Derek Connolly.

Plot details have not been released. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing.

In May, Uni postponed production on the project in order for Trevorrow and Connolly to take a pass at an original draft by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver and allow exec producer Steven Spielberg to give his notes as well.

Dallas Howard, who is repped by ICM Partners and Management 360, was most recently seen in “50/50.”

Delphinea, Yellowfin and Honda France by Peter Dinham

A Business Intelligence solution from Yellowfin is being rolled out by automotive manufacturer Honda in the company’s French operation.

The deployment of Yellowfin’s consumer-oriented BI solution comes as the result of a deal secured with Honda by French consulting, services and enterprise software reseller, Delphinea Conseils.

Under the deal, Yellowfin is delivering its solution to Honda’s French Power Equipment division, providing access to sales and customer data via one single Web-based source.

IT Manager at Honda France, Regis Loumont, said that the company wanted to replace its existing BI tool with an easy-to-use and manage reporting and analytics solution – to boost the performance of its sales force and increase the efficiency of its IT department – and that “Yellowfin was able to achieve that ambition.”

“Yellowfin provides Honda France with an intuitive and hassle-free Web-based BI solution, enabling end-users, administrators and IT personnel to quickly create and access up-to-date visual analytics, eliminating non-productive activities and producing a distinct competitive advantage.

“Yellowfin is an agile and responsive reporting solution. Yellowfin easily integrates with Honda’s CRM systems, allowing our sales team to independently access the right information at the right moment – whether they’re at their desk or on-the-move – to boost sales and improve customer relationships.”

Loumont said that enabling sales personnel to access – and Honda’s IT department to efficiently deploy, maintain and manage – BI content via a range of devices was an important factor in their purchase decision.

“Honda France’s IT department found it was easily able to boost its mobile data proficiency with Yellowfin’s ‘author once, consume anywhere’ approach to Mobile
BI,” Loumont said.

“The ability to deploy reports to the iPad and other mobile devices, without the need to redevelop or rework reports in any way, has enabled both Honda France’s IT department and sales force to complete their respective roles more effectively and efficiently, saving time and winning more business.”

Yellowfin’s Strategic Alliances Manager for EMEA, Daniel Shaw-Dennis, said that signing Honda France was an indication of Yellowfin’s “growing presence in, and ability to service, the European market.”

“Over the last 24 months, Yellowfin has increased its reach throughout Europe, forming reseller partnerships with an extensive range of leading organizations, whilst signing many flagship clients, including England’s National Health Service (NHS) and Honda France.

“We’re looking forward to helping Honda consolidate its position as one of the world’s leading motorcycle and auto manufacturers.”

Melbourne Health deploys QlikView by Peter Dinham

Public healthcare provider, Melbourne Health, has deployed the QlikView Business Discovery platform from QlikTech to improve operational performance and healthcare delivery to its communities.

Under the deal, QlikTech, a leader in Business Discovery user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), has deployed its Business Discovery platform through its partner, Inside Info, allowing Melbourne Health to harness existing data across the whole organisation in order to make better informed decisions about the management of patients and the provision of health services.

Melbourne Health employs 8,000 people across a number of service areas including acute, sub-acute and community based programs and serves a population base of more than one million Victorians across metropolitan and rural regions.

Melbourne Health Chief of Staff and Project Director, Anna McFadgen said the organisation Melbourne had been experiencing exponential data growth and were unable to obtain the necessary level of business insight through its original and home grown Business Intelligence solution.

“Previously, we did not have a sufficient level of insight into our operational performance.

“The organisation needs to access a range of real-time information on a regular basis which includes information related to patient activity, financial performance and quality and safety indicators to name a few. In the past, this could take hours to compile, and the data pulled was often not up-to-date, or at a sufficient level of detail for managers to make informed decisions about their departments.” As a result, Melbourne Health selected QlikView in a contestable tender.

“Following the implementation of QlikView, we now have access to real-time information that is intuitive and user friendly, with sophisticated analyses and information taking only seconds to access. After only recently implementing QlikView, our clinical managers already have increased visibility into the performance of their units.

“With its great granularity of data, QlikView has enabled our healthcare workers to compare the performance of clinical units within their division against key performance indicators, providing the insight and empowerment needed to make well-informed business decisions. We’re excited to see what further performance improvements the solution can bring the organisation.”

Phillip Beniac, QlikTech Regional Vice President, APAC said that with the healthcare sector facing increased cost constraints, business intelligence solutions were providing a cost-effective way to access relevant information that employees can access and understand.

“The healthcare sector has typically stored and managed data in silos, which isn’t the most efficient means of analysing data. With healthcare providers continuing to face rising costs and long revenue cycles, an efficient and reliable means of extracting valuable insights from existing data has never been so important.

“Through the implementation of an optimised BI solution, Melbourne Health is now harnessing the power of BI to better serve patients whilst also reducing operational costs and improving resource utilisation across the entire organisation.”

IoT needs Java by Stephen Withers

Java is a key component of the Internet of Things, according to an Oracle executive.

During a panel session at Oracle Open World, Oracle Senior Vice President Peter Utzschneider said Java is key to the creation of the Internet of Things as there are not enough developers to create the necessary software for each type of device separately.

Java has been around for years, and has amassed a community of nine million developers. While there has been some fragmentation of versions, "we're... building a common platform," he said.

The arrival of Java 8 next March will be "a dramatic leap forward," Utzschneider. There are currently three versions of Java relevant to devices, but one is being retired and the other two (SE and ME) will have more commonality in terms of language and APIs.

This means code will be more reusable between projects involving larger and smaller devices (in terms of processing power and memory size), and it will also allow developers to be moved between projects more readily.

Oracle Senior Vice President Chris Baker said a standard platform is needed for the Internet of Things along with standardised, preconfigured systems so that people can get on with writing specific applications (without having to worry about the plumbing). The 'write once, deploy to many' model will be essential to making the task feasible..

"We believe the Internet of Things is going to hit every industry," he said, but with nine million Java developers there is "a huge economy out there."

Asked whether the insecurity of Java could be a liability for the Internet of Things, Utzschneider said recent issues involved the browser plug-in for Java rather than Java itself. Oracle is "on a concrete path to get thorough that," he said, and suggested the fundamental security of Java had been proved on SIM cards and smart cards.

Responding to a suggestion that Oracle may be planning to charge for Java components that were previously free of charge, Utzschneider said the company's policy is that parts that are currently free will remain that way. Items subject to a licensing fee (eg, $US0.60 for a very low-power device) generally will not change, though some may be released without charge. For example, Java for ARM-based servers and for the Raspberry Pi are free.

Google by David Swan

Google has stuck in its finger in another pie and launched Constitute, a new service aiming to make the world's constitutions digitally available to everyone.

The project was developed by the Comparative Constitutions Project with seed funding from Google Ideas, and is designed to help those in countries that are drafting new constitutions or those that are updating existing ones.

At the time of writing the database contains constitutions from 160 countries around the world, and each constitution is fully searchable - users can narrow down information using nearly 350 tagged topics including political parties, religion, year or country, among others.

"If want to see what African constitutions have to say about the rights of women after 1945, you can do that in just a few clicks," Google said in a statement.

"Our aim is to arm drafters with a better tool for constitution design and writing," the company said in a post.

While you might think constitutions are done and dusted around the world, in 2013 so far Zimbabwe has adopted a new constitution and Somalia and Syria adopted new constitutions in 2012. It's a niche market, but a relevant one.

Google said the idea for the project began back in 2008 when researchers found that many countries undergoing constitutional reform didn’t have access to other countries’ documents, which in turn made it difficult for them to make changes of their own.

Mr. Bill Gates by David Swan

After many long years Microsoft god Bill Gates has admitted that he made a huge mistake by introducing Control-Alt-Delete, but also blamed IBM for the troublesome key combination.

Gates, who stepped down as Microsoft CEO in 2000, told attendees at a Harvard fundraising campaign that the Windows key combination was designed to prevent other apps from faking the login prompt and stealing a password.

David Rubenstein, co-chair of a Harvard fundraising campaign, tenaciously and bluntly asked "Why, when I want to turn on my software and computer, do I need to have three fingers: control, alt, delete? Whose idea was that?"

The crowd reportedly burst into laughter before Gates took part-ownership of the issue.

"Basically, because when you turn your computer on, you're going to see some screens and eventually type your password in, you want to have something you do with the keyboard that is signalling to a very low level of the software – actually, hard-coded in the hardware – that it really is bringing in the operating system you expect," he said.

"So we could have had a single button, but the guy who did the IBM keyboard design didn't want to give us our single button. And so we had, we programmed at a low level that you had to – it was a mistake."

David Bradley, an engineer who worked on the original IBM PC, came up with the famous key combination which was originally designed to reboot a PC.

"I may have invented it, but Bill made it famous," Bradley previously said in an interview.

Moody Blues--Dear Diary

Dear diary, what a day it's been.
Dear diary, it's been just like a dream.
Woke up too late. Wasn't where I should have been.
For goodness sake what's happening to me.
Write lightly, yours truly, dear diary.

It was cold outside my door.
So many people by the score.
Rushing around so senselessly.
They don't notice there's people like me.
Write lightly, yours truly, dear diary.

They don't know what they're playing.
They've no way of knowing what the game is.
Still they carry on doing what they can.
Outside me, yours politely, dear diary

It's over. Will tomorrow be the same?
I know that they're really not to blame.
If they weren't so blind then surely they'd see.
There's a much better way for them to be.
Inside me, yours truly, dear diary.

Dear Diary, it was cold today.
But the sun came out later,
so I went out and strolled about
looking at the shops.
Didn't really see anything I liked,
so I didn't buy anything.

Oh, now I know I posted a letter.
Been quite a nice day.

Somebody exploded an H-bomb today.
But it wasn't anyone I knew.

Kerstin Andreae will Grünen-Fraktionsvorsitzende werden

Simone Peter will für Parteivorsitz kandidieren

Machynlleth Says Goodbye

The family of April Jones has said a final farewell to the murdered schoolgirl as the mid-Wales town that shared their grief came to a standstill.

A white horse-drawn hearse led mourners, including the five-year-old's parents Paul and Coral and their two children from their Machynlleth home to St Peter's Church.

Crowds lined the streets and filled the church and its graveyard for the long-awaited service.

Those paying their respects were asked to wear pink, April's favourite colour.

The coffin arrived at St Peter's to Emeli Sande's Read All About It played on loudspeakers outside the church.

As it was carried inside by family members, Coral wept, holding her hand to her face, comforted by Paul, while other relatives fought back tears.

A message from April's family, written on the order of service, said they "would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their overwhelming kindness, sympathy and support during this sad, sad time".

Among the crowds were members of the mountain rescue, who helped search for April.

Beginning the service, the Reverend Kathleen Rogers said: "We know that there are no words we can say at this moment to express what we are feeling.

"No words can alleviate our sorrow or take away our pain."

Two poems by a local writer - one called April and the other called An Autumn Night - were read during the service and the words of well-known hymns were changed to suit the family.

No relatives spoke at the packed service, which was organised only after the conclusion of an inquest, 10 days after which April's remains were released.

Following the service, the funeral party left the church for a private burial.

It is almost a year to the day since the five-year-old went missing - with her murderer, Mark Bridger, jailed for his entire life in May - but reminders of the youngster are visible throughout the town.

A memorial garden has been built on the estate of Bryn y Gog, close to the home where she lived for her brief life.

Earlier April's father inspected flowers and dolls left at the garden, which has become a focal point for locals.

A bench bearing her name has been placed among the trees and next to a pink playhouse.

Up in the Welsh hills overlooking her hometown, a tree has been intricately wrapped in knitted pink patches and below in the valley pink ribbons still adorn many of the shop fronts and houses.

But the town is different now, according to Councillor Mike Williams, a friend and neighbour of April's family.

He explained: "It's the magnitude of an event in which a five-year-old girl was ripped from her family, ripped from the community, in such a vile and vicious way.

"But the town has stayed together and together we will be. We will be as one and we will be always with the family in support."

April Jones' funeral reflected the wishes of her grieving parents, who had wondered for months whether it would even be possible as their daughter's body was never found apart from fragments of bone.

We extend our sympathy to her family, relatives, classmates, schoolmates and friends.

RIP

THE SPENCER DAVIS GROUP-- "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out"

Once I lived the life of a millionaire
Spent all my money, didn't have a care
Taking all my friends out for a mighty good ride
Bootleg liquors, champagne and wine
Then I began to fall so low
didn't have a penny and no place to go
If i ever lay my hand on a dollar again
I'm gonna hold on to it till the eagle grins
Nobody loves you when you are down and out
In your pocket not one penny
And your friends, you don't have any
Well just as soon as you've get back on your feet again
Here they come they say your long lost friends
I say it's mighty strange but without a doubt
Nobody needs you
Nobody loves you
Nobody loves you
when you're down and out.
Yeah yeah yeah
Nobody loves you
when you're down and out.

KENYA ( Sky News )

A loud explosion has sent thick smoke billowing from the Westgate shopping complex in Nairobi where 69 people, including four Britons, have died in a raid by Islamic militants.

The blast was followed by other smaller detonations and volleys of gunfire as Kenyan troops laid siege to the four-story complex.

A security official told reporters at the scene: "It is us who caused the explosion, we are trying to get in through the roof."

Sky’s Stuart Ramsay said he had been told some of the al Shebaab terrorists had blown themselves up while others has been "taken out" by Kenyan special forces.

One of the Britons killed in the attack has been named in reports as Ross Langdon, who had dual nationality with Australia.

An architect, he apparently died alongside his girlfriend who was heavily pregnant, according to Australian media.

Colleagues of Mr Langdon told Sky News: "We were shocked at the news. Ross was the kind of guy who restored your faith in humanity - what a senseless waste."

The Kenyan Defence Force said earlier on its Twitter feed it was making every effort to bring the situation "to a speedy conclusion".

It said it has secured most of the four-storey mall, and many of the hostages have been rescued. Police say more were rescued overnight.

"We have managed to rescue more hostages overnight and very few are remaining," said Kenyan police chief David Kimaiyo. "We are also closing in on the attackers."

Officials said up to 15 may still be inside the building. They have apparently been using the remaining hostages as human shields and have threatened to kill them.

Al Shebaab spokesman Ali Mohamud Rage warned the hostages would "bear the brunt of any force directed against the mujahedeen".

Kenyan military spokesman Colonel Cyrus Oguna told Sky News: "We do not negotiate with terrorists and that position has not changed. Everyone who has been rescued is being checked to make sure none of the terrorists escaped during the dragnet."

Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta said there have been "numerous offers of assistance from friendly countries" to end the stand-off, but that for now it remains a Kenyan operation.

However, a Kenyan security source has confirmed that Israeli agents "are rescuing the hostages and the injured". The Westgate shopping complex is part Israeli-owned.

Britain's SAS is also reportedly helping out in an advisory role, along with US agents..

The Kenyan Red Cross says 69 people have been killed, at least 63 remain missing and around 200 have been injured. Five of these are said to be from the US.

Police have conceded the number of dead could be "much, much higher", after reports emerged that there are multiple fatalities still inside the centre.

The Foreign Office has confirmed Britons were among those killed and warned that number was likely to rise.

Prime Minister David Cameron is cutting short a visit to Balmoral to chair a meeting of the emergency response committee Cobra in London later today. Defence Secretary Philip Hammond chaired a Cobra meeting this morning.

Mr Cameron has described the attack on the shopping complex as "despicable" and an act of "appalling brutality".

Also killed were two Canadians, two French citizens, two Indian citizens, a South Korean, a South African, a Dutch woman and the former UN envoy Kofi Awoonor.

The Foreign Office is investigating claims that a female British terror suspect nicknamed the " White Widow " could be linked to the plot.

Samantha Lewthwaite, who was married to July 7 bomber Jermaine Lindsay, is wanted by Kenyan police over links to a suspected terrorist cell

In March 2012 it was reported that Lewthwaite, 29, who is originally from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, had fled across the border from Kenya to Somalia.

Ramsay said: "We know that she'd been in the area. She has been linked to a number of attack in east Africa and they have been trying to capture her.

"Interestingly she has been used in the past with planning and propaganda, not actual assaults, although there is some evidence she has been linked to at least one.

"It is difficult to know whether or not it is her. The government have said there have been reports of more than one woman involved.

"Al Shabaab is thought to consist of foreign nationals as well as people from Somalia. I've heard reports of one Briton being involved and someone from Canada as well."

Security forces have taken control of the upper and lower levels of the shopping complex, and an army spokesman told Sky News they were trying to secure the second floor where the terrorists may be hiding.

Other reports suggested the attackers were holed up in a toilet block next to a supermarket on the ground floor of the complex.

Mr Kenyatta said one of his nephews and his nephew's fiancee were among the people confirmed killed.

"They shall not get away with their despicable and beastly acts," the president said in an emotional speech to the nation. "We will punish the masterminds swiftly and indeed very painfully."

The attack is the worst in Nairobi since an al Qaeda bomb attack on the US embassy in 1998 that killed more than 200 people.

Judges at the International Criminal Court have adjourned the trial of Kenyan vice president William Ruto for a week to allow him to return home and help deal with the crisis.

Ruto and Mr Kenyatta face charges of crimes against humanity in relation to their role in coordinating a wave of violence that swept Kenya in the aftermath of the country's contested 2007 elections.

The Kenyan Red Cross has set up a webpage for anyone worried about friends or relatives who might be caught up in the siege.

:: A helpline has been set up for people in the UK who are concerned about relatives in Kenya: 020 7008 000.

Please pray that it will end soon. God bless.

Charlotte Gainsbourg (Definitely Not suitable for kids)

Slim lined sheik faced
Angel of the light
Riding like a cowboy
In the graveyard of the night
New York Witch
In the dungeon of the day
I'm trying to write my novel
But all you do is play

Baby Boomerang, Baby Boomerang
Well, you never spite a person
But you always bang the whole gang
Oh yeah...

Mince pie dog-eye
Eagle on the wind
I'm searching through this garbage
Just looking for a friend
Your uncle with an alligator
Chained to his leg
Dangles you your freedom
Then he offers you his bed

Baby Boomerang, Baby Boomerang
Well, you never spite a person
But you always bang the whole gang
Oh yeah...

It seems to me to dream
Is something too wild
In Max's Kansas City
You're belladonna child
Hiding on the highways
On the gateways to the south
You're talking with your boots
And you're walking with your mouth

Baby Boomerang, Baby Boomerang
Well, you never spite a person
But you always bang the whole gang
Wooow Thank you babe ha ha ha yeah
